On/Off Sound buttons in Flash – NO ACTIONSCRIPTING!

SUBSCRIBE! I was playing around with some buttons by adding different sounds to them when you click them and I thought, well, why not do this with an mp3? Then I figured out how to make it play a song and stop it. And basically, I figured it out and decided to put up a vid! SUBSCRIBE!

    Thank you so much, I try other tutorials with AS and I try to do it and it didn’t work. I’m still using AS2. I don’t know what they were thinking when they changed to AS3 which is a nightmare. You save my day!!!

    @gpena3

    Alright man, here’s what you’re going to want to do.
    1. Go to your Library and click your sound file.
    2. At the bottom of the Library (where the folders and trash can are) there’s a button with an “i” on it. Click it.
    3. In the middle of the box, there’s a drop down menu that says “Default”. Click it and choose “mp3″.
    4. Now, make the “bit rate” higher (kbps). Remember, the higher you make the bit rate, the slower your flash file will take to load!

    @binaryentity Click on the frame, and find the music in your library. After you’ve found the music, drag it onto the stage (white box, of course), and the song will automatically be placed on your frame (you can tell because a blue line will be on your frame). Next, click the frame again and go to your properties panel. Where it says start/stop, choose start. And that should make it so the song automatically plays!
