Simple email link for contact – Flash 8+CS3+CS4 Tutorial


People new to flash can learn how to make a simple email link for contact purposes when it is not possible to place a full dynamic contact form

    can u make contact form what have like text areas example:name,phone,subject,email …and after u have filled it then clicking a button it automatically sends a letter where subject is for example that subject what person writed into subject text area and message is like: (name person writted)+ have telephone (telephone numbers what person writed into telephone text area) have email (email what person write dinto email text area)…or something liek that…i guess it needs php but…

    @Fanora So I realized that it wasn’t working when I was testing in within flash. However, after I published it to the server, it DID work when it was in website-form on the internet. Go figure?!

    @Fanora It only works for me if I do a command+return preview. Otherwise I don’t get anything when I click the link. It DOES work if I select _blank in target area, but that opens a new browser window as well as opening a new email window. Hope you work it out man, let me know if you do.

    @bananaoctopus I’m having the same problem…it keeps opening Firefox and not my mail program!! :(

    For some reason this isn’t working for me. I’d love to know why. I’ve followed this very closely several times now with a blank stage, only the static text. Is this video a CS3 version and perhaps CS4 is different? Many thanks anyway, your tutorials are all brilliant.

    How do i make it so that when ppl put text into this textbox, and then press ‘send’ (which is a button right next to it) and it will send that text to my email?
