Ultra Simple Flash Click-Through Photo Gallery with AS3!


Taken from the June/July Newsletter of Tutvid.com we have this ultra Simple Gallery Effect. SImply drag the images into flash and convert to a symbol.     the scripting is always wrong and it never works:( I tried so many times but I just keep getting the same thing. Please help…

    I can’t find where to enter the instance name :( I am using cs3, I see frame name. Someone tell me where to enter the Instance name it’s not in the properties panel only the frome name is…….please help!

    can anyone help me? im working out of Flash CS4 and the Action Script is coming up with an error “1119: Access of possibly undefined property target through a reference with static type class” comes up… what am i doing wrong?? :S

    Finally managed to sort the action scrip out and got this to work. and made it using my own images. Have posted it on my Myspace page and it really looks and works great. Thank you tutvid.

    I followed this tutorial to the letter. However on selecting the first keyframe in AS, on opening up actions I’m being told that no actions have been selected and am unable to enter any action scrip?

    I really like this gallery, my only question is . . . Is it possible to make the picture you click on to come to the front instead of the back? I tried but it does not really work the way I want it to.

    Lynda(dot)com is a site that has many excellent tutorials on Actionscript and also many other programs too. Get a month’s subscription for $25 and you won’t regret it.
